I find it really weird calling Moriarty “Jim”. “Jim” implies some kind of hidden human aspect, some part of him that can feel and care and sympathise and even love. Hell, maybe there was a Jim, once, years ago, before he put on his mask (or took it off, depending on how you see it). But Jim fell down Moriarty’s black gullet years ago. There is no “Jim” behind that man’s eyes. There’s just Moriarty. And the dark.
I don’t understand. I don’t ship Sherlock/Jim but I sure as hell respect the ship. And to me Sherlock/Jim fluff is just WEIRD. These two would DESTROY each other. They’re like Batman and the Joker, y’know? An unstoppable force and an immovable object. Except in this case it’s TWO unstoppable forces, and if they were ever to collide the resulting explosion would be cataclysmic. Sherlock and Moriarty would be danger and suffering and mind-games and death and in the end, they’d destroy each other. So no. I don’t see cups of tea and cuddling and pillow talk and footsie in a relationship like that.
